Suranne Jones

Sarah Anne Jones (also known as Suranne Jones) is an English actress and producer. Suranne Jones has been an actor and producer from England. Her fame was gained through her role as Ruth Slater, the detective in a procedural police drama "Scott & Bailey and as well as Gemma Foster, the GP in a medical drama "Doctor Foster.' Originally from Chadderton, Greater Manchester, Jones joined in the Oldham Theatre Workshop and received her BTEC National Diploma in Performing Arts from there. A stage production, Wait Until Dark, she played Gloria at the age eight. She first appeared on the screen in 1997 as the character of a show called from "Coronation Street". In 2000, she was reintroduced for the show as Karen McDonald. After her departure from ITV's soap, she appeared in a number of characters in television shows including "Vincent" The 'Strictly Confidential" as well as Harley Street.
